Spiritual wounds

Everyone's talks about physical pain, but what about spiritual pain?

Sometimes we suffer and don't know why.  We don't know why we have to hurt. We don't know why we are depressed.  We don't know why we have anxiety. We don't know why we have low-self esteem. We don't know why things happen to us. We don't know the purpose of pain.......and there comes a time where we get so comfortable with pain we can't see anything else but pain. We accept the pain and hurt as something we have to live with. We get so used to being hurt that we think that's the way life is supposed to be. We get hurt by people in our family.  We are hurt by people in our past. We are hurt by our spouses. We are hurt by our children. We are hurt by our fears. We are hurt by our own disappointments. We are hurt by our childhood. Everything is designed to hurt us in some way. There's no escaping pain. Pain is inevitable. We can't run from pain. We can't hide from pain. We can't avoid it. Pain comes in many ways and different forms. Sometimes we see pain as a punishment.  We think God or a higher power is trying to purposely hurt us or put us through pain so that he can watch us suffer.  Sometimes we believe people hurt us on purpose.  Sometimes we live with pain so long, we become comfortable with the wound.

What is pain??? Physical pain is a cut or a bruise that we recieve from an injury and sometimes we compare pain only to the physical wounds we can touch or feel.  However,  spiritual pain is damage or a bruise in our soul. When we suffer in our souls we experience toil or torment. That hurt constantly  reminds us of our discomfort.  When we are emotionally hurt by something or someone or experience, then we are spiritually wounded.  Sometimes physical pain such as abuse or molestation can turn into spiritual pain. To have a spiritual wound means that you have suffered a blow, impact,  or disturbance in your soul that affects your mind,  emotions,  and thinking.  When you are wounded spiritually, you can't see the cut or bruise but you can feel the pain in your emotions, mind,  and soul. The hurt eats at you daily,  the pain distracts you from reality. The many reasons people suffer internally from things like bitterness,  low self-esteem, resentment, insecuritues  negative thoughts, poor perception,  etc, is because they haven't healed their wounds. Sometimes pain becomes our mask.  We use pain as a reason why we are mean to others or treat others poorly. We use pain as a reason why we treat ourselves poorly. when  we haven't healed from things that have hurt us spiritually. Which  means we suffer internally with things people can't see. The pain is not physical.  But just like physical wounds, spiritual wounds need to heal too. So there is a purpose to pain. Although, not all pain seems good, pain has a benefit.  We can learn from pain,  we can grow from pain,  and mostly importantly we can heal from pain....... everything is a matter of choice.  You can use pain to empower you or deplete you.

To heal from anything means you have to give it T.L.C. You can't heal a physical wound if you ignore it or don't  give it the care or attention it needs.  In the same way you can't heal a spiritual wound, if you ignore it or don't give it the attention and care it needs to heal.

P.s. Pain gives birth!!
